MG Red Shift Cerabooster is a friction-reducing engine oil additive for petrol and diesel engines, with or without a diesel particulate filter (DPF). Its active components bond with metal surfaces to form a durable ceramic coating lasting up to 50,000 km, backed by an active protective layer that keeps working between oil changes. The result: less friction, quieter running and effective protection exactly when the engine is most vulnerable – during cold and dry starts.

One 250 ml can treats up to 5 litres of oil, making a single application enough for a full oil change in most passenger cars.

How it works

The formulation is built around a molybdenum-based friction modifier (molybdenum polysulphide long-chain alkyl dithiocarbamate complex). Under operating temperature and pressure, the active components react with metal friction surfaces and build a hard, low-friction ceramic layer. Unlike simple oil thickeners, this protection is anchored to the metal itself – it does not drain away with the oil and keeps guarding the engine at every start.

Because the coating builds up during normal driving, no special procedure is needed: add the product to fresh oil and drive as usual.

Directions for use

• Shake the can well before use
• Pour into fresh oil, ideally right after an oil change
• Dosage: 250 ml treats up to 5 litres of oil
• Store at temperatures above +10 °C – at lower temperatures the product may thicken
